Following its September launch, the new digital die cutter, the VELO blade, has been a big hit, with an influx of orders already placed. The most cost effective digital die cutter on the market enables printers to extend the services they offer to create unique and intricate products as well as remove the need of out sourcing. The automated Velo blade is a production line within itself. Combining cutting, creasing and perforating in a single pass, with auto-feed, conveyor belt and collection tray allows for completely unattended production. So, not only is the Velo Blade positioned at an attractive price, but it is also a great efficiency saver. Load 100mm of up to 1.5mm or 1200gsm stock and let the Velo do its thing. A set of gantry-mounted vacuum clamps operate together with air separation jets. Stack up paper to feed automatically into the Velo Blade, this is then read by the Industrial CCD registration camera, allowing for unattended production. The Velo Blade is a versatile system that caters to a variety of stocks and sizes ranging between 210x297mm to 600x400mm. Whether its paper, plastic board, PVC board, PU, cardboard, rubber sheet or marking film, it can cut it. It’s also a quick system, cutting up to 1000mm/s with SRA3 taking between 15 – 45 seconds per sheet, depending on the complexity of cut or crease.
