Sultana Packaging Group has expanded its production capabilities with the acquisition of a Kolbus RD 115S flexo rotary die-cutter for its facility in Tijuana, Baja California. The investment forms part of the company’s long-term strategy to improve production efficiency and strengthen its position in high-graphics corrugated packaging.
The decision follows several years of operating Hycorr rotary die-cutters, which have been in use since 2015 and have demonstrated reliable performance and stable production results. Based on this operational experience, Kolbus was selected to support the next phase of equipment modernization.
The RD 115S will enhance converting capabilities and support Sultana’s objective of increasing its presence in direct-print, high-graphics packaging applications. The installation continues the established relationship between the two companies and supports Sultana’s ongoing production development plans.
