An updated version of the AON M2+ 3D printer, which will be newly certified and bear TÜV SÜD (C, US), CE, and RCM certifications, has been announced by AON3D, a firm dedicated to make high temperature additive open and accessible. AON3D is eager to increase sales of the AON M2+ globally beginning this year thanks to these new certifications, great client success, and momentum in North America.
Engineers are using additives in some of the most demanding applications imaginable thanks to easy access to high-performance polymers, according to AON3D Co-Founder Kevin Han. "Our plan now is to make this accessible to a global market," he added. "Expanded AM utility has been helping our customers move faster, save hundreds of thousands of dollars, and fuel much of AON3D's growth."
AON M2+ Improvements & Safety Certifications
Midway through 2021, the AON M2+ started shipping, attracting numerous illustrious clients like NASA, Tesla, Samsung, Medtronic, the US Army, Air Force, Department of Veterans Affairs, Department of Energy, and many others.
The new AON M2+ has been certified by AON3D and TÜV SÜD in accordance with relevant CSA, UL, and CE standards. The device will join a small group of high temperature 3D printers that abide by the Machinery Directive (2006/42/EEC) and are eligible to correctly display the CE mark as opposed to those that merely do so.
The machine also complies with the IEC 61010, IEC 60204, ISO 12000:2014, and ANSI/UL 61010-1:2017 standards and will be marked with the TÜV SÜD (C, US) and RCM marks for the Australian and New Zealand markets.
The adjustable build plate system now has a build volume interlock, liquid-resistant electronics enclosures, and an ultra-quiet vacuum pump.
