Hunkeler has introduced a 23-inch version of its Gen8 Roll-to-Stack finishing solution, expanding from the previous 22.5-inch format. The update is designed to improve productivity and reduce paper waste, production time, and overall operational costs.
The system integrates the UW8 Unwinder, CS8 Cutter, SE8 Separator, and LS8 Stacker, supporting web widths up to 23 inches at speeds of up to 590 ft/min. The DynaCut function allows variable cut lengths during operation, enabling flexible format changes up to 762 mm.
Built on Generation 8 technology, the solution supports high-speed processing of full-color applications on both coated and uncoated papers, from lightweight to heavyweight stocks. Optional modules such as the WM8 Web Merger and WF8 Web Folder extend its capabilities for transactional and direct mail applications.
Hunkeler also offers upgrade kits to support existing installations, allowing customers to adapt their systems and maintain long-term investment value.
