Euroboard Upgrades Packaging Operations with Lamina System Investment

Euroboard, a leading Hungarian packaging manufacturer, has officially expanded its finishing capabilities following the installation of a new Lamina System AB CLG 1816 line at its primary production hub in Csepreg. The strategic machinery upgrade was ordered late last year to help the company keep up with surging demand for fast-turnaround, short-to-medium corrugated runs.

Founded back in 2000 as a solidboard and carton trader, Euroboard shifted gears into full-scale corrugated manufacturing in 2003. Today, operating across two facilities in Csepreg, the business processes millions of square meters of board annually. Beyond standard corrugated boxes, their catalog includes edge protectors, PET bags, foam films, heavy-duty pallets, and custom timber containers designed for complex industrial packaging.

Expanding Capacity for Fast-Turnaround Short Runs

The new Lamina CLG 1816 gluer was brought in specifically to tackle high-frequency orders and eliminate bottlenecks in the finishing department.

“We made the decision in 2025 to invest in the new line,” explains Tájmel Tamás, CEO of Euroboard. “In our two factories in Csepreg, we have six trucks at our disposal to ensure the simultaneous delivery of products on 150 Euro pallets, if necessary within 24-48 hours.”

With a team of 30 specialized workers, the plant focuses heavily on quick turnarounds for customized, low-volume orders that bigger plants usually struggle to handle efficiently.

“We produce a lot of FEFCO code boxes in small and medium runs, and our Lamina machine is able to handle this type of work faster and more efficiently for us, thanks to super fast set-up times,” Tamás added.

The addition of the Lamina CLG 1816 line allows Euroboard to cut down job changeover times dramatically, helping the plant maintain its 24-to-48-hour delivery commitment across Hungary and regional European markets.
