Digital printing systems from MAN Roland - Ideal for short runs

Print-on-demand, short-run-colour, versionalisation, distribute-and-print – catchwords which describe a trend that has been running through the whole printing industry for years. Whether special interest titles, partial issues of catalogues, advance editions of packaging for test markets or few copies of a scientific book.

MAN Roland has recognised these trends and has reacted to the new requirements of the market with digital printing systems. With the DICO process (Digital Change Over), MAN Roland offers the only technology allowing for imaging and de-imaging of the printing forme in the press, in offset or gravure.

The first commercial serial machine with this technology is the DICOweb; in addtion, we are working on integration of a DICOkit into conventional sheetfed or web offset systems.

All these systems allow for fast and cost efficient job change-over and are therefore ideally suited for short-run applications.
