K-Libra invests in a CRON HDI 1600S+ Digital Flexo Imager.
K-Libra located in Choueifat, Lebanon is one of the first customers in the Middle East to invest in a CRON HDI 1600S+ daring the move from analogue plate-making to digital.
K-Libra was established in June of 1998 and has developed a good reputation in the flexo plate-making market. The low investment cost of CRON and its reliability makes it appealing for a Middle East market facing recessionary pressure.
CRON currently offers its HDI Flexo units in three formats: 600mm, 920mm for label applications and 1600mm for general packaging. However, more sizes are being rolled out.
K-Libra invested in the high-end CRON HDI- 1600S+ series machine: the first choice for wide format plate making center and the best in class with max size 1200x1524mm, resolution up to 9600 dpi, with max speeds of 1.8 sqm per hour and other features which allow K-Libra to reproduce plates for the more complex print applications in the market.
CRON HDI- 1600S+ is designed to drive profitability in a highly competitive and rapidly evolving industry: A unique integrated platform that can automatically load and unload large-format plates, effectively minimizing the chance of damage and avoiding potential waste caused by manual loading of plates. As a result, the CRON HDI- 1600S+ is very efficient and production costs are kept at a minimal.
Although a flexo engraver is the most important equipment for the reproduction of digital flexo plates, without a reliable exposure no High Definition Resolution or consistency is achieved.
Dynagraph’s recent partnership resulted therefore in the sale of a 3ES Mega Photopolymer Plate Exposure Unit Model: 3ES-PROIII-Ei. Capable of exposing all high-quality photopolymer plates at high dot resolution, excellent line definition to meet the highest HD Flexo standard.
