SRI Hybrid Limited a member of the Sumitomo Rubber Corporation
Sumitomo Corporation was originally founded in 1919 as Osaka Hokko Kaisha Ltd., a company engaged in real estate management, conducting land reclamation, land grading, harbor repair construction, etc… in the Osaka northern harbor region. After the end of the war in 1945, the company makes a transition to general trading, looking to handle products from Japan's major manufacturing firms in various industries. In June 1952, the company name was changed to Sumitomo Shoji Kaisha Ltd and in 1978 the company adopted the official English name as Sumitomo Corporation (Sumitomo Shoji Kaisha, Ltd.).
